Well I have to say I was surprised. The plot is as predictable as you could expect from one of these movies, BUT the way it's told with regular flashbacks giving inside information on several characters appealed to me. And the characters are so stereotypical that you end up liking them... the french guy with the french accent made me laugh a lot.
The movie doesn't take itself seriously and it's all about the weapons, the suits, the subs, the bases, etc... just as the cartoons were. BUT they dropped the "US is the greatest nation ever" that was typical in the cartons, and made it a world wide team.
To sum up, a lot of action, fun and really cool special fx. I had fun, so I recommend it :)
