I started reading Berserk because it is hugely famous. I checked that it started being published in 1990 and is still going on. The thing is I just couldn't put it down. It's an epic adventure filled with memorable characters, human cruelty, defiance of fate and a lot of violence (physical and psychological).
It tells the tale of a young boy that goes from mercenary to knight to berserk avenger. It's a tale of vengeance and how far are you willing to go to get it.
I read 20 years of manga in 10 days... that's how good it is!
